인간의 ‘실존’과 인간과 공생관계인 자연과의 ‘공존’에 대해 탐구한다. 자연은 아름다울 뿐만 아니라 생명으로서 거대한 세계와 연결된 하나의 독자적인 ‘관념’이다. 또한 인간과 자연은 필수불가결한 관계이고, 현시점에 이르러 코로나 펜데믹 시대에 직면하여 자연회귀와 자연에 관한 공간과 예술이 실천되고 활성화되고 있다. 나의 작품들은 자연과 인간을 연결하는 유전학적 자연애를 접목시켜 형상화한다. 또한 이러한 자연의 생태학적 요소를 포착하여 다양한 천연섬유를 사용한 섬유조각 작업을 통해 인간과 자연의 일원적 관계를 형성하고자 한다. ‘섬유’는 인류의 역사에서 삶을 영위하기 위해 필수불가결한 존재이다. 인류의 역사와 함께 함께해온 섬유예술은 ‘자연’이라는 키워드에서 끊임없는 영감을 얻었다. 작가에게 작업은 자신을 정립하는 과정이며 나는 3차원적 섬유조각을 통해 자연의 이미지 그리고 인간의 ‘자연애’를 작품에 접목하고, 이러한 작품들을 통해 관람자로 하여금 개개인이 자기고 있는 자연에 대한 사랑과 책임감을 연상시키고자 한다. 

 I am interested in the human existence in society and coexistence with nature. Nature is not only beautiful but also contains its own 'concept' connected to the greater world as a life. Humans and nature are indispensable, and by facing the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, space and art about nature and how we return to it are being practiced and actively created. My artworks aim to combine and materialize the genetic love of nature which is a connection between humans and nature. Also, by capturing these ecological elements of nature, I intend to illustrate the unified relationship between humans and nature through the work of soft sculpture made of various natural fiber materials. 'Fiber' is an indispensable being for leading a life in the history of mankind. Fiber art, which has been always there with the flow of mankind, is constantly inspired by the keyword 'nature'. Artworking is a process of self-establishment for an artist. Through three-dimensional soft sculpture, I will continue to work combining the image of nature with a natural love of humans. I would also like to bring up the image of their love and responsibility for nature to viewers with my artworks.
